Do you have backups?

Yes. Backups are created daily, encrypted and stored in two off-server locations.

What is backed up?

The database, including the knowledge base, progress and acknowledgements, as well as uploaded files such as images, video, audio and company documents. A full database copy is created daily, while files use daily incremental backups retained for 30 days.

Where are the backups stored?

In two independent locations, separate from the main server and with two different providers. Both copies are encrypted, and the encryption key is not held by the storage provider, so access to the stored files alone would not make them readable.

Have you tested whether backups can actually be restored?

Yes, regularly. We test restoration from real backups into a separate database and compare the restored data with the live system. A backup that has never been tested for restoration is only an assumption.

What if I accidentally delete something?

Documents deleted from the knowledge base remain in the bin for 30 days and can be restored by you. Documents also have version history, so if a bad edit is made, you can restore an earlier version.
