You do not need to think of it as a school exam.

The purpose of check questions is simply to see whether the material was clear and whether the most important points were understood. A few short questions tell you far more than knowing that someone clicked on a document.

If this does not fit your company culture, you can leave the questions out. Onboarding plans work without quizzes, and progress can still be tracked.

The system is not trying to turn the workplace into a school. It simply gives you the option, where it matters, to do more than assume the information was understood.
